Making Ghost Image proglems
« on: January 05, 2006, 12:08:34 PM »
I am a computer tech and I have been having a problem making a Norton Ghost image on DVD's.  I have been using Ghost Version 9.0.  I start making the image and the process just basically times out.  Typically the process starts correctly but when it comes to asking for the 2nd disk, I insert the second disk and that is wher the problem is.  When the 2nd disk is inserted, the imaging process does not seem to resume.  It just sits there.  I have made other Ghost images on other computers.  Any ideas?  Thanks for your help.

I resolved the problem.  We had been trying to use DL (double layer) DVD's to make our image.  These disks will hold 8.5 GB instead of the traditional 4.7 GB.  I switched back to the 4.7 GB DVD's and I was able to create a successful "ghost" image
