how to notice a scam
« on: January 10, 2006, 11:46:50 PM »
#1: if they say this: "i got a new program that can edit your stats and get you anything you want. e-mail me with your username and your password and what you want and what lvls you want raised" (it may not be said exacly along those lines)

#2: "my brother (sister, dad, mom, uncle, ect..) used to work for jagex but got fired for giving someone full rune (or something else along those lines) and he (or she) wants to get revenge on them. he (she) can get you what ever you want.
e-mail me with your username and password and what you want" people use this one quite a bit.

thats all i know so far (or maby i have short-term memorie) if i see any more ways you can notice a scam, (and if you see one to post it here) post them here and bring the down fall of all scammers!! http://images.thetechguide.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':D\' />

Thanks for your input, but I already have a guide to the most common scams I have seen.  Its not a problem, but before you post a new topic, just glance around to see if there is one that is similar already out there.

Well... That happened
