Actually, I'm not sure if mailskinner uninstalled completely, since there was no message saying that it had uninstalled....but it didn't show up after I hit the uninstall button.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but once again the message I sent didn't show up here.

What I replied was:

I'm not sure if mailskinner was completely uninstalled, since there was no message to say it had been. It just disappeared after I hit the uninstall button. Do you want me to run blbeta again?

The other programs were renamed and I restarted the computer.

You kind of lost me

Delete the old logs made from blacklight

I still want you to do this
Quote
Go into the C:\BFU folder
EXTRACT BFU.zip
so you now have Bfu.exe unzipped to the BFU folder
Don't run it in from the zip file

Then do this
Ensure you extracted Bfu.exe
Again, DON'T run it from with Bfu.zip

Start the Brute Force Uninstaller by doubleclicking BFU.exe

In the scriptline to execute copy and paste the following line below, between the dotted lines
=============================
 c:\bfu\EGDACCESS.bfu
=============================
Press execute and let it do it’s job.

Wait for the complete script execution box to popup and press OK.
Press exit to terminate the BFU program.
Reboot the computer again

Back in Windows post a fresh hijackthis log
Also,
Do this again
double click blbeta.exe to run it

Click the Scan button to start and then Next when it has finished scanning
A text file, fsbl-date/time, will be saved to your Desktop, copy and paste this new log into your next post

Can you do the following please

I want to ensure a file is gone
Open Hijackthis>>Open misc tools section>>Open "Delete a file on Reboot"
In the file name open field
Copy and paste the whole path below in bold  between dotted lines

c:\windows\system32\sprqivahd.exe

=========================================

Then click the OPEN button, if the file is found, hijackthis should prompt you that the file will be deleted on reboot and to reboot the computer, don't reboot yet

Instead, do this regardless,  In hijackthis click the BACK button
Do a "SCAN" with Hijackthis and put a check next to these entries:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [sprqivahd] c:\windows\system32\sprqivahd.exe sprqivahd
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Instant Access] rundll32.exe p2esocks_1046.dll,InstantAccess


After you have ticked the above entry, close All other open windows
Including this one
Leave Hijackthis open and click FIX CHECKED
OK the prompt and exit Hijackthis

Reboot the computer

Back in Windows

Download and Install Spybot 1.4 from
HERE
 or HERE
After installation--Click the UPDATE button on the left
SEARCH FOR UPDATES on the right
Check the boxes and then download all updates
After update is complete
Click the "Immunize" button on the left>>>OK at the prompt>>Immunzine at the top green cross
Click the "Search & Destroy" button on the left
"Check for Problems"---When the Scan is complete
FIX all selected promblems in RED
Reboot your computer

Come back here and post a fresh hijackthis log

Recommendation: If you didn't knowingly install the next programs, I would advise you to access your add/remove programs via control panel and remove them

Final Cleanup>>Clear your Restore points
We don't need you restoring any nasties sitting idle in your system restore folders
Go to START>>RUN>>In the open field
type in msconfig
Hit OK
Click the "Launch System Restore" button
On the Left hand side click on "System Restore Settings"
Put a Check in "Turn off System Restore"

Apply it and OK out of there>>Reboot your computer
                           
Back in Windows, Go back and take the check out of Turn off system restore
This will reenable the System Restore feature and creates a new restore point

[indent]To Protect yourself against future attacks[/indent]
You should install
SpywareBlaster 3.5.1 by JavaCool  
    *Will block bad ActiveX Controls
    *Block Malevolent cookies in Internet Explorer and Firefox
    *Restrict actions of potentially dangerous sites in Internet Explorer
After installation, Check for updates and then click the "Enable all protection"
Check for updates every couple of weeks
after every update just simply click the "enable protection on all unprotected items"

Open Spybot 1.4
*Click the "Immunize" button on the left>>>OK at the prompt>>Immunzine at the top green cross
Do the above after every update

*Check for updates with your anti-spyware programs and run a check on a regular basis

*Keep your AV and Firewall actively running and always updated

*Always keep up to date on High Priority Windows Updates You appear to be set to Automatic updates, good move

One Note:
Your version of Java is out of date, I don't consider the Java autoupdater that reliable
I usually disable it in the windows control panel and check for updates manually
I recommend that you download the Windows (Offline Installation) of the latest version of Java
and save the installer to your desktop from this link
http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp
Don't install it yet
Open the Windows Control panel and open the Java icon
Click the Cache tab and Clear cache
Access your add/remove programs and remove
"Java 2 Runtime Environment, SE v1.4.2_03"

Then later install the latest version which will apply the latest security updates
