winfix 2006

[osmosis21]

Not sure how I got it, but I keep getting pop ups for winfix 2006.   I ran spybot and adaware and it didnt pick up anything.

I've been doing some reading and was told to get my log file from hijack this.
Here is my log file, but I';m not sure what to remove.  Thanks in advance for any help.

Download [color=\"red\"]VundoFix.exe[/color][/url] to your desktop.

• Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
  
• Put a check next to Run VundoFix as a task.
  
• You will receive a message saying vundofix will close and re-open in a minute or less. Click OK
  
• When VundoFix re-opens, click the Scan for Vundo button.
  
• Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
  
• You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
  
• Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
• When completed, it will prompt that it will shutdown your computer, click OK.
  
• Turn your computer back on.
• Please post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt and a new HiJackThis log.

Let's try and make this simple
Vundofix has fixed some bad guys

Please consider the following
It is never adviseable to run more than on AV or firewall on your system in the background
This will definitely cause conflicts and decrease system performance

You have McAfee's and AVG installed
Please decide which your happiest with and uninstall the other

Reboot the computer afterwards

Back in Windows, post back a fresh hijackthis log and let me know how things are running

Is one better than the other?   The reason that I downloaded AVG was that I started getting those pop ups which mcafee (preinstalled on the computer) didnt pick up any problems.....the only problem with AVG is that it doesn't make it clear what to do with the viruses once they are in the vault....I may end up going with Nortons in the end, unless there is a clear recommendation.
