WinXp Activation Crack?

All I had to do was: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareMicrosoftWindowsNTCurrentVersion
change the \"RegDone\" key value fron 0 to 1

It was not the first boot and there was not even the other key. I wonder why?

Editing the winlogon.exe file worked perfect for me.. Since I was on an NTFS partition, I had to find a DOS program to allow me to look at NTFS partitions so I could replace the files when booting from the bootdisk. Once I did this, it worked perfectly.. If it didn\'t work for you, then you did something wrong...

The only way you can change the winlogon file as you say is to use a bootdisk but it should be pointed out that the install of XP should be carried out on a FAT32 partition only, as you will not be able to see the NTFS partition.

Now there\'s a answer that I think \"I\" may try, thank you...  I have been looking at XP for a while now... I currently have Win2000, one one machine and Win98 on another, after using 2000 I see such a difference in the stability that I always hesitate to turn on the newer machine (98) even tho it it much faster and had more ram.

Hello. You can use a program call NTFS Pro to look at NTFS partitions in Dos. It works great for me I use it all the time at work.

One way to install xp on more than 1 computer using the same key is to activate the first one over the internet and then activate the rest of them over the phone.

At a first glance, I was a bit confused with a couple of \"steps\" of the whole procedure, but thankfully I found my way out of the darkness :>

So I\'m posting this message \'cos I think there could be others to find themselves in the same difficulties as I did.

1st.(Fireball\'s words: Expand your \"winlogon.ex_\" from install CD and have it prepared for the first safe login... )
-There is an EXPAND.EXE file in the install CD
Run the command prompt from programs menu like this:
(yourCDdrive):>expand winlogon.ex_ c:(destination folder)
and then rename the expanded winlogon.ex_ to winlogon.exe and save it for later (to edit with ultra-edit32)

...so put the cursor over number 8 and start typing C7 06... until C3
-the characters will be substituted every time you type (not moved to the right like I initially thought..)
Save.. and the work is done.. :> taraahhh

-You should press F8 even before you see the green valley for the first time!
Right after the setup\'s countdown arrives at 0 min. left, windows will reboot automatically.

-you might get a promt like: \"choose device to boot from\" - choose HardDisk and continue pressing F8 until you get the SAFE MODE options.

-then from tools->folder options->view->choose to view hidden files and folders and show extentions for known file types...
-locate windowssystem32dllcachewinlogon.exe and rename it into \"winlogon.exe.orig\"
-copy modified winlogon into dllcache dir
-locate windowssystem32winlogon.exe and rename it the same way
-copy modified winlogon into system32 dir

Could it be possible to edit the winlogon.exe, compress it back (or leave as is) and substitute the original file on the CD when burning a new one?

Umm, when you activate office xp pro edition does it send you a code in the email that says \"thankyou for activating a microsoft product\" Because if it did i kinda deleted the email.... I\'m planning on reformatting my drive soon so is there anyway i can get that code or am I in deep do do?

i don\'t think the winlogon hex hack has anything to do with activation.  i have a copy of xp corp, and the winlogon is the same as the non-corp editions.

the exes are the same !!!

the difrance is with the corp ver other files are difrernt  those files refer to winlogon to check if the system is activated with the pro ver, the corprate it just checks that a valid code exzists with the system. so not using winlogon !

So here\'s my big question. The hex edit worked fine (after I had already logged in, btw), and it says its activated.  So, will this also disable the 180-day eval limit???

Just a few questions about the corporate version of xp.  Is there only one product key for all corporate versions?  If not, what do you think MS is going to do about these copies where hundreds are using the same product key?
Just a thought.

actually you can.. just need to keep the orignal hd in your machine for the activation code lol un less you can use the xp atviation crack
