How many sense\'s do we as humans have Bob??
Hmm...strange isnt it. How can something so beautiful, so testing, so exhilerating, escape the sense\'s of a human being without the 2 simple device\'s. Well in a distant way consumer\'s are realizing this. Taking less time to upgrade, less time to logon when not at work, and putting more time into other things than IT. It\'s starting to show right now in society and it has been showing even longer on wall street.
Your living in fantasy land when you think your giong to change something. If you want to aim at consumer\'s that\'s fine, but remember, people don\'t care so much about IT as they did just a few years ago. After alot crashed many lost hope in it for making money, and only found IT to be just another electronic leash with having to check emails constantly, having to attend net meetings, having to pay isp bills, etc...
In today\'s world, someone who feels cut off or just more complexed with what they have to due with a computer at work and then again at there own home is just not going to do it by cutting themselve\'s off from the computer or software. Then where does that leave the IT business as whole Bob??.
Believe me they will drop any software if shown a easier way to do things. This means by means of alternate OS\'s, not upgrading OS\'s, pirated software, or ANYTHING it take\'s just to ease the burden\'s they deal with at work by making their home computer less complicated and less time consuming.
Don\'t want to believe it Bob?? I know how you feel, and it\'s scaring us, and will you too if it doesnt already. That is just people today, you know. It\'s like anything else new to the majority of people, \"Wow, Cool George !!! \", then a year later \"George just turn it off !!! \"
It\'s a shame MS wont realize this aswell as so many IT companies. Who cares right?? Why bother??? Everytime you hear something about IT now days it revolve\'s around something negative right???. Wether it be some group getting arrested for piracy, how the movie and record industry are loosing money, how IT stock price\'s are falling and will not stablize, how someone is tired of checking emails. The list gone\'s on and on today Bob. This isn\'t the internet revolution of several years ago anymore Bob :-(...sad but true.
Basically, what should be happening in IT is not. So many people focusing on the negative and helping \"Secure\" everything, but what was the last time you overheard someone not at work, someone you didnt know, at a bar or wherever, say something really interesting about IT??? I can bet hardly ever in these times. Now just a few years ago you heard it all the time, but IT is just becoming \"Old Hat\". We should be focusing on new idea\'s, new hope, new things to make people come back to the desktop at there own will and not at the will of work or burnden.
You, Bob, @MS, you wont get this, none of you will...not until it\'s too late. Remember as soon as a dog start\'s barking, you look to see where the dog is, then you look to make sure you can get out if it comes out you, and then you make note of who the dog belongs to or where atleast it live\'s.
This is what is happening with your whole company right now with consumers Bob. Luckily it\'s on a level where there not directly picking this up. But oh how they will Bob...they will no matter what. You will be left in a entire world turning to something other than MS for all there IT needs, and when they do guess what, they will find it cheaper, more direct without alot hiddem implemations, just as good as before. Oh and Bob...it will be CHEAPER!!! Think the consumers won\'t like that Bob?? Think their turning to a alternate because they actually care about the company who makes there software??? No Bob, No. The will turn for it\'s just more convienant and leaves them more time in there physical lifestyle that they have come back to after being burnt out in cyberland in today\'s world.
Just to make sure I get to tell you this incase I can\'t find you in 5 years...
