hello peeps.. well i have some sort of problem. recently i went to download some keygens on a crack site (bad i know) so it started to install all this spyware, and virus... i think i got rid of them using panda activescan, and ad-aware. but now my norton antivirus auto-protect is disabled, and won't enable anymore, it keeps saying "Norton AntiVirus has encounted an internal program error" 4002,516. and also when i'm on the computer it randomly restarts for no reason? here's my hijacklog... anyone know what to delete or anything? thanks a lot http://images.thetechguide.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':)\' />

computer keeps restarting? norton antivirus won't enable auto-prot
« Reply #1 on: February 19, 2006, 08:40:01 AM »
Sorry for the delay, can you do the following please
If you have an older version of Spybot installed please uninstall it from Add/Remove programs
Download and Install Spybot 1.4 from
HERE
 or HERE

After installation--Click the UPDATE button on the left
SEARCH FOR UPDATES on the right
Check, the boxes and then download all updates
After update is complete
Close Spybot for now as we will need it later

==Download and Install
Windows Cleanup! 4.0
Don't run it yet

==Download and then Install
Ewido Anti-malware 3.5

Open Ewido
From the main ewido screen, click on Update in the left menu, then click the Start update button.
After the update finishes (the status bar at the bottom will display "Update successful")
Close out Ewido for now, we'll need it later
If for some reason the Updater won't work can you manually download the
Updates from this link after you have Ewido installed
http://www.ewido.net/en/download/updates/

Please  save these instructions to a Notepad file and save it to your Desktop for reference
or Print them out!

RESTART your Computer into SAFE MODE
You can do this by tapping the F8 key as the system is restarting, just before Windows loads
Choose Safe mode from the startup menu and hit Enter

In safe mode
Set Windows To Show Hidden Files and Folders
    * Click Start.
    * Open My Computer.
    * Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
    * Select the View Tab.
    * Under the Hidden files and folders heading select Show hidden files and folders.
    * Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
    * Uncheck the Hide Extensions for known file types
    * Click Yes to confirm.
    * Click OK.
Find and delete the following files please
C:\WINDOWS\system32\irsmuysi.dll <-file
C:\WINDOWS\system32\irssyncd.exe <-file

Remain in safe mode
==Open Cleanup! by double-clicking the icon on your desktop (or from the Start > All Programs menu).
Set the program up as follows:
Click "Options..."
Move the arrow down to "Custom CleanUp!"
Put a check next to the following (Make sure nothing else is checked!):

    * Empty Recycle Bins
    * Delete Cookies
    * Delete Prefetch files
    * Cleanup! All Users

Click OK
Press the CleanUp! button to start the program.
When it's done, decline to log off or restart the computer

==Open Ewido anti-malware
Click on the Scanner button on the left menu
Select Complete System Scan
*If Ewido finds something it will prompt you with "Infected Object found"
Ensure the following are Selected
  *1. Perform Action = Remove
  *2. Create Encrypted Backup in Quarantine (Recommended)
  *3. Perform action with all infections
    Then click OK
When Ewido has finished it's scan click the "Save Report" button
Save the report to desktop
Exit Ewido
NOTE: When Ewido is running, don't open any other Windows

Do a "System scan only" with Hijackthis and put a check next to these entries:
Not all may be found, but tick what you see from below

O2 - BHO: RieMon Class - {70F6A776-579A-4C95-BA88-134253907752} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\irsmuysi.dll
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [KernelFaultCheck] %systemroot%\system32\dumprep 0 -k
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [irssyncd] C:\WINDOWS\system32\irssyncd.exe

After you have ticked the above entries, close All other open windows
Leave Hijackthis open and click FIX CHECKED
OK the prompt and exit Hijackthis

Open Spybot 1.4
Click the "Search & Destroy" button on the left
"Check for Problems"---When the Scan is complete
FIX ALL selected promblems in RED
RESTART your computer  back to Normal mode

Post back a fresh hijackthis log and the whole report you saved earlier from Ewido's

computer keeps restarting? norton antivirus won't enable auto-prot
« Reply #3 on: February 19, 2006, 09:25:07 PM »
Can you do the following please

Download:  Registry Search Tool from this link, it's a very small download
http://billsway.com/vbspage/
You will have to scroll down to see it

Unzip and double-click "RegSrch.vbs"
Note: if your Antivirus or another program prompts about running a ".vbs" file, allow the script to run

In the open field copy and paste the below in bold then hit OK

sysbus32.sys

Wait for the results and post them back here

Additionally,
Can you also do the following
Download F-Secure's BlackLight from HERE and save it to your Desktop.
Locate and double click blbeta.exe to run it - you will need to accept the license agreement.

Click the Scan button to start and then Next when it has finished scanning.
Do not rename any files if given the choice, I need to see the log
A text file, fsbl-date/time, will be saved to your Desktop, copy and paste this into your next post.

hello,
this is for the registry search tool:

REGEDIT4
; RegSrch.vbs © Bill James

; Registry search results for string "sysbus32.sys" 2/20/2006 2:46:53 PM

; NOTE: This file will be deleted when you close WordPad.
; You must manually save this file to a new location if you want to refer to it again later.
; (If you save the file with a .reg extension, you can use it to restore any Registry changes you make to these values.)

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\sysbus32]
"ImagePath"="\\SystemRoot\\System32\\Drivers\\sysbus32.sys"

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet002\Services\sysbus32]
"ImagePath"="\\SystemRoot\\System32\\Drivers\\sysbus32.sys"

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\sysbus32]
"ImagePath"="\\SystemRoot\\System32\\Drivers\\sysbus32.sys"

i used F-Secure's BlackLight, but it didn't find any hidden files so i couldn't post a log

Can you do the following please
Make sure that this file is gone
 C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\sysbus32.sys <-this file
Delete it if found, careful, there may be other files that look similiar in the drivers folder
It should be already gone as Ewido claims to have cleaned it, but please double check

when that's done
Click Start>> RUN>>> Copy the text below into the Open Run Box and Click OK.

sc delete sysbus32

Follow the rest closely
Click Start-> Right Click My Computer and Select Properties-> Click Hardware-> Click Device Manager

Once the Device Manager Opens-> Click View-> Click Show Hidden Devices

Scroll down that list and Expand (+)  Non-Plug and Play Drivers

Scroll that list-> Locate 32bit system bus driver-> If found-> Right Click and Select Uninstall.

Restart your computer

Post back a fresh hijackthis log please

Can you also run sysbus32.sys thru regsrch.vbs again and post the log

and on the registry search there was no sysbus32.sys found, so i couldn't save a log
and was i supposed to try enabling it because it still won't go? i wouldn't want to try installing it again, cuz i'd have to find the cd, or it's not the problem?
