Have you tried this?
The minidump error is sometimes associated with an outdated video driver (a program that facilitates communication between a hardware component and the rest of the system), so one potential solution is to download a driver update for the video card. You can get one by visiting the Support or Downloads area of the card manufacturer’s Web site. An updated driver may take care of the problem

Just for good measure, you should take a moment to purge your system of the minidump and Sysdata.xml files by deleting them from the C:/DOCUMENTS AND SETTINGS and C:/WINDOWS folders, respectively. You can restart the computer when the files are gone.

It's possible it could be software or hardware, but I would do what I posted above
to see what driver you have for video
Everest supplies lots of info
You should be able to find out what video adapter you have onboard and the date of the driver
Or use Device manager to track down the info

ok i think i found it:
Driver Description   Trident Video Accelerator Blade 3D/ProMedia
Driver Date                   06/06/2001
Driver Version   5.1.2001.0

but everest doesnt provide me a update link where should i get a updated driver that i know i can trust!
Also after finding more out on my error messages microsoft page says its an error with my netgear ethernet adapter card now could it just be that and not my video card. Its also sucks as microsoft and negear havent found a solution for the problem it also says....figures right.

oh yah and i cant seem to find thoes exact files on my computer to del...theres a few other logs not sure if i should del them tho.
and i also did a memory test with memtest86 and it showed 52 errors on 1 pass?? what does that mean??? if you care Im running 248 mb of ram,,that i put in myself im hopeing i didnt ruin it somehow.

Did  you try your computer manufacturers' website for updated drivers?
Concerning Memtest
It seems you have more than one module of Ram in your computer
Have you tried remove one module and run the test again
It may be just one module detecting errors
Isolate which module it is

Keep note of what part of the test memtest is finding errors
It may not be bad memory

Note: concerning your onboard video, I take it this computer is a bit old
It may be an 8mb onboard, not that much for todays use
I'm not sure that you are going to find that much support for the onboard video
Have you considered updating?

do you want me to write out all 52 different places the errors are that would take aloonnnng time...is there anyway to make a log and post it or copy and paste or someting.....also i remember i couldnt scroll down the list of errors i didnt know the keys??? Its confuseing to me to use as its like a dos program or something.

also yes i have 2 sticks of memory in now if i remove one then do a test..... save results some how for you to see also,,,then swap the sticks then do another test then show the results that would take like over 2hrs as just the 1st test alone took like 45mins.....im not sure if i have time for all that in the next few days.. as im moveing and will no longer have hispeed net where im going (but hopefully theyll have it avail for me soon). Now i do still want to fix the problems but with moveing and stuff (where my computer wont be experianceing the problems anymore , as it only happens on fast downloads) the last thing i have on my to do list is to upgrade my computer  or spend a day or two diagnosing it. Even tho yes id love to have a good working vid card that doesnt skip like this one does, just not yet.

Im also still chatting with netgear on the ethernet card issue...not sure if they can help,,,so far weve played email tag and they arent the smartest crew for helping and understanding my problem but slowly and surely im trying to update my ethernet card driver.

just let me know if you know of a quick way to log the memtest errors (it was my 1st time useing that program by the way) and if theres a faster way to scan for memory errors to diagnose a bad memory stick. Thanks

I want you too pull one stick of memory out of the computer
Run memtest
Any errors?

Pull the other stick out and replace it with the one you first pulled out
Any errors?
Process of elimination

Which one is giving you problems????

I'll need to see a hijackthis log from your gf's computer to know what we need to do with it

Start a new post and post the log from her computer
