Small problem with AMD Athlon XP 2000+
« on: March 21, 2006, 08:26:17 PM »
The AMD Athlon XP 2000+ is supposed to run at 1.667GHz. Mine is running at only 1.250GHz. Any idea on how to get it running at the right speed? The motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-7VTXE. I have already updated the BIOS. It should support processors up to AMD Athlon XP 2600+ at 266MHz FSB.

[color=\"#000066\"][font=\"Verdana\"]Hello,

Very odd problem you got there. My guess is the readings are incorrect. What are you using to read the CPU speed?

That's the speed it shows at startup and in the BIOS.
