Hiya,
How's this for a n00bish first post?

I've just put a new processor in my motherboard (ECS K7S5A). I've taken out the old one that was running at 750mhz, and put in what I 'believe' is an Athlon 1700 (I bought it from a guy at work, so it didn't come with a box or anything).
Anyhow, after putting it in there, the computer's running it at 1100mhz. This is an improvment, but not quite what I was after. Looking around in the BIOS, the CPU Speed is currently set to 100/100mhz. If I Page Up/Down this option, it changes the CPU Frequency and DRam Frequency to 133mhz. This then sets the CPU Speed at 1.4ghz+, which is more what I had in mind (ie- what I've been told it can do)
n00bish question: Is this safe to do? It seems like a legit option so far as the BIOS os concerned, but I don't want to melt my processor.
EDIT: Here's a screen-grab of what
Everest says about the processor:

very little about these things. I kind of learn as I go along, and I've just never needed to do this before. Any pointers you can give me would be
greatly appreciated.
Cheers in advance,
Y3N.
