setupp.ini PID= needed from WinXP Pro UPGRADE
« on: December 28, 2001, 05:14:15 PM »
I have a case where I have a valid paid for Windows XP Upgrade Key but only have access to Retail XP Pro media.  I think it may be possible to change the PID= line in setupp.ini to allow use of an upgrade key.  Can someone who has access to a retail, upgrade, windows xp pro disc look at the file \"i386setupp.ini\" and post the PID= line?  Thanks

Does this also works in the same way with XP Home (i think so) and, for example does it works always this way?

Because i\'ve a retail oem cd, but i want to build a retail
from this, so i just make Pid=51882335, rebuild the CD bootable, and it works then with retail keys?
