Hey all,

I use PartionMagic 8 :

There is 9 GB “unallocated”
I want to add the allocated 9 GB to my J:partition (Software) who is 102 GB and then he becomes 111 GB.
How have I do that?  Do I have to use “Redistribute free space”? I’ve already tried, but that didn’t work I think.
Thus, I want the allocate space (9GB) away and give it to my J:partition so it becomes 111 GB. How I have to do that? When I choose “resdistribute free space” at the left column  , he displays me my partitions C: and J: where I can take space from , but the allocated space isn’t display there.

In fact, I want my partitions as follow:  c:boot, d:SOFTWARE and e:recovery. How can I obtain this? The problem is Windows reserve already a lot of drives names for my smartcard (D:\), SO/MMC (F:\), Compact Flash (G:\)

There is also a partiton RECOVER on my hard drive but I don’t see him in Windows Explorer and in Partition Magic there is no drive for my RECOVER partition? (see above the figure)

When i control the RECOVER partition (Check Partition in Partition Magic) he gives me the follow error message:
Error 2003 File sisze does not match FAT allocation for file

I don’t wanna loose my SOFTWARE (j:) partition, who has to be d: in a later stadium
MY SOFTWARE-PARTITION (J:) is a partition where I store all my setup programs of iles I download from the internet. It’s a very important partition.

So how to solve my problems?
Please help !!!
ANY SUGGESTIONS????

(so my questions:
How to rid off the message error 2003 of my RECOVER partition and why is there isn’t a drive for my RECOVER partition?
And how to allocate unallocated space ???

Kurt
