msconfig problem

When I try to run the MSCONFIG.EXE, from run on the
start button or through the control panel, teh window only flashes open for a brief moment, them closes before I can
use MSCONFIG.  Any ideas as to why it won\'t load

from the start run window in WIN 98, type \"command\" enter.
this will open an MS DOS shell.  From the c: prompt, then type msconfig.  If the window still opens and closes in a flash, right click the upper left corner of your MS DOS shell and highlight properties.  Check full screen mode and run msconfig from there.
