I am running win2k right now and i wanted to run WinME also as a dual boot. Is there any way i can do that without having to format and repartition my drive?

Yes and no.  It\'s going to be just a little tricky, and I\'m not going to guarantee this\'ll work 100% ok?  Standard disclaimer here:  BACKUP FIRST!!!!!!!!!  IF something goes wrong you\'ll thank me later.

I\'m assuming you have Win2k installed on a FAT32 partition.  That\'ll probably make things easier later, as Partition Magic doesn\'t seem to like NTFS5 that much.  Go ahead and resize your main partition.  Format the empty space as FAT32 and copy EVERYTHING from your main partition over to the empty one.  Now try to install Win2k again (as a clean install, not an upgrade) but select the advanced option, and tell it to let you specify the installation partition.  After setup reboots your PC it\'ll ask you which partition, choose the second one (your D drive).  When all\'s said and done, it should give you the option to boot to either Win2k install, verify that the second install now works.  If so, then you can go ahead and wipe out all the data on the main partition and proceed to install WinMe on it.

The reason you may need to take all these long steps, is that Win9x needs to be on the main partition...Win2k doesn\'t care where you stick it at.  Win2k is on your main partition right now.  You might be able to get away with resizing it and freeing up space at the beginning of the drive, but when I do that it likes to keep the original partition the C: drive and the new one (even though it\'s in front) the D: drive.  Your mileage may vary.

Just remember to backup everything, in case this hoses everything.
