how to extract CDROM boot record with \'dd\'

there is a unix command i often use on tape drives called dd.

and I have been using ISOBuster which is very good for grabbing CD bootrecords,

but there is one bootrecord in particular it always screws up

so i need a little help using dd on a CD-ROM
either in unix or win32

What boot image are you trying to extract ?

i am trying to extract a bootsector from a bootable CD.
It boots into MSDOS622

before extracting with ISOBuster, size reported is \" 1.41 MB : Size according to specification, reality may be different \"

1,474,560 bytes according to windows  (post-ISOBuster extraction)

Winimage bootsector properties :
Oem string : MSDOS622
serial Number : 081ac7c2

possibly it is much bigger than 1.41, and this is why i want to use dd.

i have tried using Noron diskedit, but it will not work w\' CDROM, only for a hard disk

Email me and i will send you the stuff to get the size of the boot image and the tools to extract it. I have used it on CD\'s that isobuster couldn\'t extract the boot sectors from, or it has extracted them and they have been corrupt..
