Well, the article says it\'s still going to work with Rambus (at first). Weren\'t there supposed to be a few mobos out with ddr support with via\'s chipset? Maybe they\'re waiting until the new socket design comes out.
Either way, the P4 is more expensive than the P3, and in MOST cases is slower clock for clock. Unless the app is heavily optimized for SSE. I\'d definitely wait on this one...from the initial benchmarks it doesn\'t look promising, wait until either a lot of people have it and say it really IS good, or some changes are made to the design that makes it better (or until it\'s just dirt cheap).
