Downloading Service Packs and Updates

I am having a hell of a time downloading some updates from MS Web site. Express Installation and Network Installation suck. Unable to upgrade my browser. Are there any alternative sites to download MS updates and service pack files? Are there CD images for service packs online anywhere so I could burn my own?

for service pack 2, you want the file w2ksp2.exe.  you can unpack it using ..w2ksp2.exe -x and enter the target location in the dialog box.  here\'s the link (if it doesn\'t work, just go to www.microsoft.com/downloads):
