BEWARE OF FREEPAY. The network is a sham
« on: June 15, 2006, 08:40:43 PM »
Once upon a time, Freepay/Gratis Internet was the best, go-to, freebie network online. They HAD (past tense) the best customer service, the best crediting, and could be trusted to approve and ship items in a timely manner.
All that has changed. On May 30th 2006 literally millions of members, who thought freepay would come through for them, lost thier accounts due to Freepay imposing a 90 day time limit for completing the requirements of thier sites. These new terms not only require you to get all your required referrals, they also state that one or more of your referrals can be disqualified if any of thier referrals are fraudulent. Now tell me how they can reasonably hold you responsible for the actions of someone two or more steps down the line. The Do-It-Yourself sites at least allow you 180 days to complete thier requirements and they dont require any referrals (the legitimate ones dont). You are now required to mail in a redemption form for approval. Dont blame Freepay if you dont spend the extra money for certified mail with a return receipt, and your form gets, "lost in the mail." This seems to be happening alot to forms mailed to Freepay, and those who do spend the extra money wait months before freepay finally disqualifies one or more of thier referrals, and they only have 2 to 4 weeks before thier account expires to replace the disqualified refs. That is, if they even bother to look at the redemption forms.
Do you want to be spammed to death by internet marketers? Freepay is the go-to network for that too. They are being sued by the New York District Attorney for selling the contact information of millions of thier members to at least 3 different companies in violation of thier own privacy policy and the law. If they have to make a choice between sending out ipods, cell phones, computers, et al to thier members, or paying legal fees and court ordered fines, do you think they will actually send you an ipod?
Less than a month before millions of accounts expired, freepay changed the referral amounts for many of thier sites without providing an extension to members of those sites. Two specific sites are thier PS3 and ipodnano sites. ipodnanos was doubled to 10 refs and PS3 was increased from 8 to 12. Many of my accounts did not even receive notice of the new terms until May 11th 2006. Less than 3 weeks notice.
Freepay's puppet, who goes by the screen name "Jake" on anything4free and other freebie forums, has admitted to outright lying to, and with holding information from, people on those boards under direct orders from his gods (the freepay bosses).
So, if you are currently a member of any freepay sites AND have not completed an offer. Dont.
If you have refs on a freepay site, who have not completed an offer, advise them not to.
Most important, if you are not a member of any freepay sites, dont even bother signing up. You have almost 0% chance of ever receiving anything from them
Support the effort to BOYCOTT FREEPAY. Contact every media outlet who has done articles on Freepay or Gratis Internet in the past to let them know what freepay has done to thier members. Post links to media outlets in this thread so we can all write to them and get the word out.
Anyone who claims they have received anything in the last 3-4 months from this network is either a freepay plant, one of the very few who will ever receive anything or has been paid off for their silence.

Congas are empty because everyone knows freepay is ripping their members off. If you sign up for freepay your email address will be spammed to death.
