static on music CD\'s burned using TEAC CD burner

I just started working with my new CD burner, a TEAC CDWE54E. It transfer photographs well to CDs, but every music CD I burn plays back with static that is not on the source CD. I can\'t seem to record a clean music selection, no matter the source CD or the brand CD I am burning. Any ideas ?

Have you tried extracting the music tracks from the CD using a tool such as audiograbber, then using the wav files it makes on your hard drive to make a music CD?  If so, then have you also tried making a cd copy of a music CD?  That\'s the two most common ways to make a CD, either burn the files individually or just copy the whole CD.

Also, have you tried the CDs you make in more than one CD player?  If not, and you later find that the CDs to play fine in other players, then your CD player is just finicky about CDR media.  Try the music CD you burned in the burner itself, that way you can rule out the CD player.

let it make a cue file from your cd and an uncompressed wav.
Start the writer in the program and load the cue file , you will be given the choice to make a testrun first or not .

Grabbing the audio  tracks will help; the problem is because Music CD
s are pressed cheaply - the track wobbles; and at the speed a highspeed CD-Burner runs; that wobble becomes static....
there are a lot of reviews on this; but only having an 8x burner; i tend not to worrry too much

If I\'m not mistaken that is part of the \"crack-proof\' software that the record labels are using now, they know they can\'t stop you from copying it, but they want to at least ruin the sound quality.  However using Xing audiograbber I have never had that problem, they have the encoder written in that bypasses the \"protection\".  It is available through real player now.  You can use this to rip the cd to .wav or .mp3, and then burn it to a new cd.  Also there are a few options of audio editing software that can remove the \'noise\'.
