networking and routing dsl with a usb modem

I have dsl with a usb modem, what do I need to get to network a laptop and pc together and be able to use dsl on both systems.  I thought a router was required but I cannot find one with usb connection (all the ones I have found require a Ethernet connection/wire). Belkin\'s router instructions said if your modem does not have an Ethernet connection, you must use a Belkin Switch.  Any ideas on what kind of switch? Or any ideas on how to set systems?

It sounds that you need to network the two machines up, and then connect the modem to one machine and install ether nat or proxy software on it. and www.Sygate.com    are the two companys what seem to have products that work the best

If you are running W98SE on the PC with USB-modem, you can use Internet Connection Sharing. You need a LAN between the two PCs (2 network cards and a hub/switch). With just 2 PCs you could also use a crossover cable between the network cards (avoid a hub/switch). This approach requires no extra software.

My experience with W2KAS and usb-dsl has been very frustrating with MS connection sharing, NAT. Never got it to work. The_Flames\' software Rx might help there. I switched the usb modem out with a router/modem.
