My computer has crashed 4 times tonight alone and I ran my virus scans and everything.....

by crashing, do u mean it doesn't restarts all by itself? if so then u may wanna check ur fans and the heat on ur computer. It may be overheating causing it to shutdown to cool off

Click start, right click my comp., properties, advance tab, start up and recovery, uncheck auto restart.
--If this doesnt work then instead of restarting, you will be given a blue screen error, which will provide a little more info. If the blue screen comes up get as much info from that as u can.

OK but when that happens and it restarts and if i get a blue screen,how do I get rid of the blue screen and restart my computer?
Just shut it down and let it restart automatically?

it said

Then said something about any new hardware I have installed I need to check if it needs updated it said run any updates........
so Im doing that now......

You will have to supply more info than
Bad_pool_caller
It could be a memory module problem, I'm not sure
but when you blue screened there may have been some other info that was important

You must supply it!

You could also check your memory with memtest86

Umm..have you tried doing all the thing the blue screen tells you? You know, uninstall any anti-virus, etc.

I say the quickest way to fix this is just re-install windows. It always works for me when my PC has problems.
