OK. Windows is pissing me off. Who here want's to have a computer that crashes twice a day while you're doing an essay, playing games or downloading a large file? "Windows x64 is more reliable" MS says. HA! Whatever. I have it on my PC and it's not any more reliable than an outhouse made of used napkins and placed on a roof with a slope 2 feet high per foot across. Who else here thinks the same way. The only thing good about Windows is that it's so badly made that it's extremely easy to hack to make pirated versions. Linux on the other hand is 200x more hack proof, which is good, but why would you need to hack it to make pirated versions if it's already free?
Linux is an OS everybody should be using right now. If more people used it, softwre companies will say, "Hey! Lot's of people are using linux and it is a stable OS. Let's make software for Linux!" I may be using Windows but I'm still doing my share by running a triple boot system with Windows XP Pro x64 and x86, and SuSE Linux 9.3. It may be a little hard to get used to it, but if you get the right version of Linux (ahhemm SuSE), you will find it easier and simpler.
Everybody, please do your share! Let's all educate ourselves about computers and choose the right OS. After all, computers will probablly be the future. Picture this, in the future, your house, appliances and electronics will all be networked on a home computer for more advanced preferances and your home can run with little finger-lifting action. (It's true, though. They are allready doing this!). Would you want the computer running your home to be run by Windows so someone can hack it when nobody's home, turn on your oven to 500, your furnace, do whatever and cause a fire? (Seriosly, it would be like that though.)
Get out there and pick up a copy of Linux! Who's with me?
