Let's see. Well this summer I got a brand new baby boy. Took a vacation to Myrtle Beach for a week, stayed right next to the Intercoastal Waterway. Shortly after that our 2001 Dodge Intrepid died on us (think the water pump went out, doesn't sound too bad until you learn the water pump is inside the engine itself), so we bought a 2002 Mercedes E320 Station Wagon (gotta have room for the baby) and drove to Pennsylvania to get it. Then another vacation to Pigeon Forge for another week.. After that we packed up again, went to Cocoa Beach and sailed on the Disney Wonder for 10 nights. During the cruise we hit St. Thomas, St. Lucia, Barbados, and Antigua. I know that they drove on the left in St. Thomas, St. Lucia, and Antigua, but don't remember about Barbados. Rented a scooter in St. Lucia and rode around for about an hour or two (would have been longer if I had remembered to put on sunscreen!), and rented a car in Antigua and drove around the whole day.
So, if you noticed I hadn't been around as much as I should during the summer, you know why now! As for what I do for a living, this is pretty much it right here. I keep up this and a few other sites, and also do some webhosting (my biggest client is myself, woohoo!). In the next little bit I'm going to be moving the site to a new, bigger server, and getting ready for the rush of visitors that hits every year due to Black Friday. We get the ads as soon as, if not sooner, than other sites out there, and don't make you register to view them (plus you generally have to download a zip file, we let you view them directly on the site, bandwidth be damned!).
Some other useless info: In addition to the Station Wagon mentioned above (and the Intrepid that's parked at the mechanic's while we figure out what to do), we have a 1985 Mercedes 300TD turbo diesel, and two 2004 Panterra electric scooters (not the scooters you buy at Wal-Mart, but licensed and insured two-seaters that can hit 30mph). I also have an electric bike, but I need to order a part for it to get it road worthy again. Well, I also need to do some work to get one of the electric scooters to work, one has a bad battery (each has four 12V batteries) and one blown controller. I like to tinker, that's why the controller's fried. Always gotta have more power! I de-restricted the amps in the controller, and added a 6V battery (so 54V total instead of 48V), and one or the other (or both) just fried the controller. Luckily the other still works. Oh, and just to prove how geeky I am, not only do I have two hacked Xboxes, and three hacked TiVos, but I also have a server who's sole purpose is handle all our calls. If you called me, you'd get a message telling you to press 1 to proceed (this stops automated telemarketing calls from bothering us), and if I call out the call will go out over our landline if it's a local call, the internet if it's a toll-free call, and if it's a long-distance call it'll either go out over the internet or be routed through our cellphone if it's during my plan's nights and weekends time.
