USB ports not working after reboot.
« on: August 08, 2006, 02:46:09 AM »
XP Pro-SP2_Abit KT7A_Via chipset
I uninstalled a prog and upon reboot my usb Rev 5 Host Controller drivers are gone including my usb 2.0 pci card. Can't get any @ mobo site or from MB CD. I have the XP cd. Tried del them in device manager but xp didn't reinstall them even when I dissabled/re-enabled usb controller in BIOS. My usb keyboard is now working but not mouse or any other usb. I did reinstall via 4in1 drivers. System Restore says it has no pionts. When I try to install via usb host controllers the install fails. The usb rev5 and 2.0 enhanced are listed in device man with yellow question marks. I tried Win Update but it doesn't see I need USB controller drivers. USB Host Controller is enabled in BIOS. Help please!!!  http://images.thetechguide.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\'\' />
