I have an ATI Rage Pro AGP 2X display adapter. When I download the most recent drivers for Win2K, something indicated that I have two monitors, which I don\'t. I check my hardware and sure enough, P&P installed a generic monitor. I removed it, but P&P keeps reinstalling it. I went back to my old drivers, and the problem is gone. However now I can\'t change my resolution to 1024x768. I\'m stuck at 800x600 no matter which driver set I use. Does anyone have any ideas? I\'ve posted this question to numerous boards and have received no answer. Also, does anyone know whey my wdmaud driver keeps making my system freeze?

Thanks in advance

my guess is that windows doesn\'t like your new drivers and reverts to finding one it does like regardless.  try this.  install your drivers again and remove the generic monitor once again.  this time go to the properties on the desktop, then settings tab, then advanced button, then the monitors tab and remove the check mark that indicates always check for plug and play monitor.  i\'m almost positive this will work.  either way it won\'t hurt to try.  good luck.
