MSSQL Server???
« on: August 15, 2006, 06:12:08 PM »
Ok, so one day I turned on my computer to find this thing that has the computer and a white circle by it.  And when I click on it I get the SQL Server Service Manager and nothing in Server and Services.  And at the bottom in the grey box, it says "Unknown - \\ - MSSQLServer"  What is this?

There's the window and bar thing.

Its a server related app. You must have installed something that needed to use it. Basically it runs in the background as a service which generally has a database attached to it. My apologies for idiot talk but its early. Dont worry about it, its all cool!

The white circle next to the icon means its doing nothing on your system. Green in the circle means it is going and red means it is stopped!  http://images.thetechguide.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':)\' />
