Computer very slow when starting up.

I'm sorry for bugging everyone here again but this forum is the only place I can rely on.  http://images.thetechguide.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':lol:\' />

So lately, my computer has been freezing/slowing down RIGHT at start up. As soon as I turn it on, the screen that says "Intel 4" slows down and it takes a very long time to get to the screen that says "windows XP"....

Can you help me, please?

Can I see a fresh hijackthis log please
From my signature below, download and save too a permanent folder of it's own onto your harddrive

Open Hijackthis.exe

Do a "SCAN and Save a Log file"
A log will open in Notepad
Copy and paste the WHOLE contents of the log  here... Don't try and fix anything yet----It is all important

When was the last time you defragged the harddrive?
Do you still have Windows cleanUp! installed?

Umh.. it's quite a while since I defragged the harddrive.

And yes, I still have CleanUp!

Can you do a Defrag
Then run Windows CleanUp!

Reboot the computer afterwards
Bootup will be slower after running CleanUp! because it also cleans the Prefetch folder
This should improve on next couple restarts

But please do let it clean the Prefetch also
