HELP- PAKES - DIALER.QY - DIALER.KOTU, Still INFECTED
« Reply #1 on: September 08, 2006, 08:21:00 AM »
Let's try the following
As the last time, I need you to disable these protections so they won't interfere

Window's Defender
Open Windows Defender.
Click on Tools, General Settings.
Scroll down and uncheck Turn on real-time protection (recommended).
After you uncheck this, click on the Save button and close Windows Defender.

Disable Norton's Script blocking:
1. Start Norton AntiVirus.
If Norton AntiVirus is installed as part of Norton SystemWorks or Norton Internet Security, then start that program.
2. Click Options.
If you see a menu, click Norton AntiVirus.
3. In the left pane, click Script Blocking.
4. In the right pane, uncheck Enable Script Blocking (recommended).
5. Click OK.

Download this file - Combofix.exe and save it too desktop

Double click combofix.exe & follow the prompts.
When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Post that log in your next reply

Note:
Do not mouseclick combofix's window whilst it's running. That may cause it to stall

Do you want to post your own logs from FRST?

HELP- PAKES - DIALER.QY - DIALER.KOTU, Still INFECTED
« Reply #7 on: September 09, 2006, 10:26:09 PM »
Not sure if you still have Avenger downloaded
But can you do the following please

Download The Avenger.zip by Swandog46 to your Desktop.

    * Click on Avenger.zip to open the file
    * Extract avenger.exe to your desktop

Copy ALL the text contained in blue below to your Clipboard by highlighting it and pressing the (Ctrl+C) on your keyboard

files to delete:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\svvwa.bak1
C:\WINDOWS\system32\awvvs.dll.vir
c:\windows\system32\yayvtrp.dll

Now, start The Avenger program by clicking on its icon on your desktop

    * Under "Script file to execute" choose "Input Script Manually".
    * Now click on the Magnifying Glass icon which will open a new window titled "View/edit script"
    * Paste the text copied to clipboard into this window by pressing (Ctrl+V).
    * Click Done
    * Now click on the Green Light to begin execution of the script
    * Answer "Yes" twice when prompted.

Avenger should now Reboot your computer

Back in Windows
Post back the following
1. Post a fresh hijackthislog
2. Post the log from Avenger located here>>C:\Avenger.txt
3. Could you also post the following
Please supply an uninstall list from Hijackthis
Open Hijackthis>>Open MISC TOOLS SECTION>>Open UNINSTALL MANAGER
Click the SAVE LIST... button
Save the list to your desktop then copy>>Paste back here the Whole contents

Do you want to post your own logs from FRST?

« Reply #9 on: September 09, 2006, 11:06:51 PM »
You should do the following
Access your add/remove programs via control panel

Remove the following
J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0
J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 4
J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 6
Viewpoint Media Player
WildTangent Web Driver

Reboot the computer

Back in Windows
Go to this link
http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp

Click on the "Download" button next to
Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 5.0 Update 8
Select the Radio button next to Accept License Agreement
The page will refresh
Download and save to desktop the
Windows Offline Installation, Multi-language installer

Once you have the installer saved
double click to Install and follow the prompts
Once installed, you can delete the installer from desktop
Let me know how things are running

Spy Doctor? or Spyware Doctor?

Spy Doctor is not a recommended program

Sounds good
You will have to purchase the product for it to be of any use

Do you plan on purchasing it?
Or the use of Windows Defender realtime protections
An updated scans with Ad-Aware and Spybot 1.4 are good free alternatives also
