I read the article and thought Id give it a try.
I downloaded W2kSP2 103,788 and I unpacked it and installed in SP2 folder.
I made another folder WIN2K and copied everything from the WIN2kSP1 CD into the win2k folder , I then ran the update.exe..
c:sp2i386updateupdate.exe /s:c:win2k and the GUI came up and said it was done.
I checked the i386 folder in Win2K and it showed SP2 and the SPnotes showed it as SP2.
I thought everything was ok, so I tried it and shortly after it formated the drive a error came up.
\"The following value in the .SIF file used by setup is corrupted or missing\"
\"Value 0 on the line in the section (source disk file) with the key \"SP2.cab\" ..
I thought perhaps it wanted new boot up disks so I made a new set of 4, copied from the new CD that I made, that didn\'t help, my next thought was perhaps the W2KSP2 file was corrupted so I downloaded it again and went throught the same process. When the CD was done I put it back in the burner and it opened and showed the win2k screen with the install windows , install addons components and browse the CD.. So I tried it again and i still get that same error..
Any Ideas as to what is wrong??
