Hybridmonster/ Hostilemonster are spamming the whole of TTG with threads advertising their site, Hrbrid rly needs an IP ban, It dosn't bother me with a bit of advertising but they are taking it to an extreme http://images.thetechguide.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':(\' />

It is also breaking your rule of you can advertise if you are not the owner of the site or closely affilated.

Has he been advertising, even after he was banned? .. and No Point of I.P Ban, i tried to i.p Ban him over at w.e, and RS2MM, he Just used a proxy.

Yup, he's been advertising and yup, he's been using a proxy.  No biggie, we ban those ips too (hopefully he eventually runs out of proxies) and also disabled the ability to register using a yahoo or hotmail email address.  He'll have to work a little harder now.  Once this dies down, I'll re-enable hotmail (he seemed to be using yahoo exclusively), then yahoo a bit later.

BTW, when I was checking one of the many ip addresses he was using, one came back to Trusted Mills...anyone notice this on the other sites?  Could have been a coincidence, I don't know (one also came back to a well-known user here, but it was a proxy ip so I ignored it).

 Hmm.. i think Ivory and trusted mills are same peeps, but you think its possible that Hybryd and trusted mills are same peeps also?

I dunno, that's why I'm asking if anyone else noticed this.  It's possible they just use the same isp (or go to the same school, I forget where the ip resolved to).  They didn't register on the same day or used the same ip several times, so unless anyone else noticed the same thing, I think it was just a fluke.

You misunderstood...I'm just looking for any other occurence of the two users sharing an ip address (we know it happened just once on this forum, how about on other forums?).  Or perhaps you know them personally and know whether they're the same person or not.  No need to go into things like eye color, tattoos, scars, etc.

Was that well known user me? I have to use a proxy at school because when i get on it says board message or something. I can't get on the forums, but the sonic wall doesn't block it. It has something to do with TTG. I guess it was probably because of my friends that use TTG to. I don't know. I told hybrud about these proxys when RS2mm banned him. I used browser-x.com and Ninjaproxy.com. I can no longer use proxys at school because stupid tech admin blocked all the proxys again.

Probably a result of an ip ban of someone else at your school.  If you can tell me what your ip is at when you're at school, I can double-check.

I'll get back to you on the email.  I'm not setting up a lot of new stuff until the new server is online.  Also, I wouldn't rely on it 100%.  It should be fine, but since it's a free service I'm not getting anything for, it's pretty much on the bottom of the list of stuff to worry about (say I'm on vacation, and the site's down, I'm on it; if the free emails aren't working, oh well).

That IP was indeed on the ban list, I removed it and it should work fine now.  If it stops again it means someone else (probably in your school, or at least in the same school system) caused some trouble, in which case let me know and I'll unban it in a matter of weeks instead of months (or years as is sometimes the case).
