OEM Windows 2000

I purchased a used Gateway PC from where I work.  It came with the OEM version of Windows 2000.  The mobo failed out of warranty and I replaced the mobo and hard drive with aftermarket pieces instead paying through the nose for Gateway equipment.  I should have Ghosted the image before I did this, but hindsight is 20/20 not foresight.  Now, of course,  Windows 2000 will not install because it no longer sees the Gateway Bios.  Does anyone know of a way to get around this?  I understand that MS and Gateway are trying to cut down on piracy, but I own the case and the license that is attached to the case.  Microsoft can surely annoy one!  I do not see the sense of this.  It is truly ridiculous.

I have a Dell CD, and the easy way to beat this is to delete certain files and rename certain files. I am not going to release this info. I am not sure, but Gateway proably incorporated the BIOS check program into setup. It is like this on a Gateway Windows 98 CD.
