Well it first started with my internet not working at all today.   After, many hours of computer clean up.

And stumbling on a few Inbound Events that reoccur within seconds of each other for hours on end.  As follows
NetRange:   10.0.0.0 - 10.255.255.255
CIDR:       10.0.0.0/8
NetName:    RESERVED-10
NetHandle:  NET-10-0-0-0-1
Parent:
NetType:    IANA Special Use
NameServer: BLACKHOLE-1.IANA.ORG
NameServer: BLACKHOLE-2.IANA.ORG
As well as additional constant reoccurring events as depicted in the attached file.

However, after this entire discovery and the realization of all my Inbound Events FORTUNETLY MY INTERNET STARTED TO WORK ONCE AGAIN.  Can’t say what fixed it but something I did worked.

Although, I am concerned about all the extra crap running on my computer that probably shouldn’t be.

Do you mind taking a look real quick?

Dee

The real thing I'm concerned with is I see both McAfee AV and Avast AV running on the computer
Is McAfee kept up to date?

If it is, I suggest that you access your add/remove programs and remove AVAST
Having more than one AV running it's realtime protections in the background can cause system instabilities and decrease system performance
Which it seems you are experiencing
Reboot after you remove it

Post back a fresh hijackthis log and let me know how things are running please

No problem!  I will do so immediately.  However, I forgot to mention earlier that installing a 2nd virus protector was my first attempt today to fix my problems.  I had first wondered if I had a virus that McAfee was not detecting.  Although the Avast software detected nothing either.    I find it weird that as long as I have had the McAfee software – it has never detected a single virus.  I suppose it just may be doing its job… but still have to wonder.

Another thing I notice
Peer guardian blocks incoming attempts from McAfee

Question: McAfee has never found anything, that's a good thing
But is your subscription to the product expired?
I'll assume not as the firewall is still enabled
It is working properly isn't it?

I've also found reference to Peer Guardian and McAfee Firewall don't play nice together
They are both 2 different programs, just seems like some interference with each other
I have looked at one Peer Guardian forum and advise users against the use of McAfee firewall and PG2
This could also add to the root of many problems your having

See here, I'm not sure what version of Peer Guardian your using
http://wiki.phoenixlabs.org/wiki/Main_Page
and here
