Netgear Router & Azureus

Hello,

I have a Netgear WGU624 router and am trying to use Azureus.

Unfortunately the router seems to cut out every so often breaking my connection. I'm checked and this doesn't seem to be a problem with my ISP as the connection is still live. All I have to do to resolve the problem is flick the power on and off on the router but its getting very annoying running up and down the stairs. This only seems to happen when I'm running Azereus.

I have configured Port Forwarding according as described on portforward.com but it doesn't seem to help. I have also opened up the relevant port in my firewall and changed it to one of the recommended ranges in the Azereus Wiki.

Any ideas what the problem might be?

Important, Do you have the latest Firmware for your router?

Are you clean of any viruses, spyware, etc..?

WGU624 Firmware Version 2.0.1.1 for use in the USA

Features in 2.0.1.1

   1. Only allows USA as country selection -- complying with FCC regulations.
   2. Improved throughput when router WAN side is connected to 10 M Ethernet interface.
   3. The maximum length of Account and Domain Name in Basic Settings page was increased from 32 characters to 50, so it complies with XBox Live test.

Known issues

    * In very rare cases, the router stops responding to the clients. Usually, power cycling the router fixes the problem. If not, do a hardware reset (Press the reset button on the back for 5 seconds).

If you are using firmware older than 1.0.1.11, you MUST upgrade to version 1.0.1.1, first.
