volume control gone
« on: December 07, 2006, 07:19:23 PM »
I used to have a volume control icon on the task bar, but now it's gone. If I go into sounds and audio devices and check place in task bar, I get a message the volume control program is not installed and I should go into the add/remove programs in control panel. What I am looking for in there as I don't see anything directly dealing with sound. I am running win xp pro. The icon I used to have wasn't just  volume, you could fine tune the sound. Any help would be great.
Thanks,
Frank

Seems as if your sound drivers got corrupt
You may have to reinstall them

Do you see anything related to your sound driver in the add/remove programs
