Ok, now I found out how to install the recovery console as a bootmenu option. winnt32.exe /cmdcons . Now, it installs the things it needs into the dir [cmdcons]. My question is how is one able to add this as a boot recovery option on a cd? Or, in other words. I would like to add \"Start Recovery Console\" option to a multiboot cd. I have tried adding just the directory along with some of the files from Twinkies site to make a bootable cd but I get an error (I messed up on the location through diskemu) but even at the prompt, typing \"run bootsect.dat /cmdcons\" says not found. The run command comes from after installing, it updates the boot.ini and adds the line \"C:cmdconsbootsect.dat=\"Windows 2000 Recovery Console\" /cmdcons\" well, since I dont need to know what it is, I cut that out and was left with c:cmdconsbootsect.dat /cmdcons I added both the directory cmdcons and also put all files into the root, but still nothing. To me, this would seem like a great recovery for ntfs and fat partitions without a huge footprint. Entire dir is less than 7MB. Also, it has a faster boot time than loading a bunch of crap. IF anyone has any ideas on how to make this work, please reply. I would like to add this to a multiboot cd. Thanx
