ok this is the problem !
i have winxp on one harddrive being the primary master
and winme on another harddrive being primary slave
i would like to have the option of which os
with some time delay to the default os
can i just edit the boot.ini in xp?
or is there a suitable soft alternative
i have tried boot magic but it wont recognise any partitions
on the xp drive
can someone help ? please ?

you can , in win xp :
right click \"my compyter\" go to \"advanced\" \"startup and recovery ,settings :
there you can determine which os must startup first and the amount of seconds .
You can also \"edit \" the boot.ini .

better off you can use MSconfig in windows XP to edit the boot.ini safely.
