Slow bootup with XP Pro

I\'m using Windows XP Pro on this system:
          1.2 GHZ Athlon on ECS K7VZA
          256 SDRAM
          30 Gb Samsung 5400 ata100 harddrive
          GeForce MX2
          1 Ethernet card
          1 Modem
          1 Homefree Network Card

My boot time, in my opinion is just too slow for my system.  Bootvis timed it around 60 seconds.  The blue bar at the windows splash screen with go forth about 10 times.  I know it\'s not soley a windows xp problem because because when i had ME, my boot time\'s were even slower.  Does anybody have any ideas or have similar problems?  Could it be the cheap 5400 rpm harddrive?

Excellent site with many hours of tweaking enjoyment. I had a slow boot up as well but I can\'t remember which tweak cured it, sorry. I\'m down to around 30 seconds now.
