Does anyone know a way to make an exact image copy of every 1 and 0, all 80 mb of a cd using Nero or CDRWIN?

What your after is a program called CloneCD. It\'s just about the only thing that can make byte for byte copies of protected and non protected CDs. It worked great on Max Payne, however you\'ll need a burner that is compatible with the program. If your burner isn\'t compatible with CloneCD, go buy one that is and you\'ll thank yourself many times that you did.

Like stated at daemontools.com and all over the internet. CloneCD is really good at it and quick. But in the end DiscJuggler is the best. Just takes a long time. I mean a real long time

Bottom line when i buy a burner that doesnt come with software someday...im going to buy discjuggler. It\'s amazing what it can handle. Has way way more azz and options than alot of apps out there. Nero has the most though and is good.
I know you need something that alteast\'s write\'s and read\'s in RAW so i wouldnt not use nero for what you want to do. It can do it but how well i don\'t know. Nero is like the middle of the spectrum packed with more\'s option\'s than you will every need.

Don\'t think a 1 to 1 will not beat all protection so don\'t think that. I\'m not a expert the subject and have had little time with disassembly and debugging, but im sure it will beat securom and laserlok as far some of the newer disc checks and some safedisk procedure\'s i don\'t see it happening. Some things will just have to be cracked or if possible for you replicated. 1to1 is not replicating just so you know. It will work on probably 95% of all game\'s though.

Bottom line if CloneCd don\'t work don\'t worry DJ will. If DJ don\'t work take your burner back because it\'s either weak or malfunctioning (just my opinion of course). Everytime i buy i burner i buy locally and make them run dj on it. If it don\'t run DJ i don\'t/won\'t buy it.

As far as what the gentleman said about getting a burner that does work with clone...well he\'s right.

Also i like Ricoh,Plextor,Mitsumi,Yamahaa, and LiteON. I wont\' buy anything else. Mitsumi my fav, then Yama, then Plextor. But Ricoh i believe has really good SCSI drive\'s and LiteON for the price and quality you can\'t beat it. Liteon also burns i believe to 99:95 of a cd...which is rare believe it or not. You can get a older Ricoh or a Sony that will burn to 99:99 but 4 sec\'s isnt worth the older technology.

Then new MSI drive\'s, for anything but backing up data, are pretty much crap. you can get a 48x16x48 for 65 bucks so for data back up it\'s great. Just don\'t expect it to last or work with alot of software.

Also, this is just IMOP but stay away from Sony, HP, and dear god never buy or even think about using a CREATIVE writer. Some are rebadged yes but the ones that are not...are the worst ive ever seen, used. I had a Creative 8x once and i swear to you i could depend more on this old azz 1x sony that is not even in it\'s drive case. Creative\'s DVD rom\'s are even worse but that is a completely different and very long story for me that almost literally made me cry and probably would make me cry if i had to recall those emotions again.  I hope that drive is doing ok down in the creek all alone.
