I use it on one of my computers
Don't let the Network shield fool you, it is not a full blown Firewall software
Here's some more info
http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_professional.htmlIf you would like to try the software first before purchasing
Try the free version of Avast
http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.htmlThe free version if good for at least 1 year, a bit longer maybe
After which time, if you decide to stick with the free version, simply reregister after a year or so, I can't remember
No need to uninstall and reinstall
Don't forget to activate it with the code they email you
If you would like to try a free firewall software
Take a look at these
http://www.thetechguide.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=15894Comodo may be a good choice
Personally, I would terminate the Network shield in Avast if you install a good Firewall such as Comodo
P.S. Don't forget to completely uninstall Norton's before installing new AV[/quote]
Norton's been removed. I like Avast so far. I also took your tip and installed Comodo.
Thanks for the help
