To create a send to item under 2k/xp, run explorer, off the root you\'ll find a \'documents and settings\' folder, in here go to \'username\', (eg. \'administrator\' is in here) then go to \'send to\'
Just right click > new shortcut to create a new shortcut there to what ever you want, eg notepad
As for the new object, have you tried the reg settings advised in the kb article you referred to?

Thank you very very very sooooo much.

yeh i have tried the reg but it won\'t work.
in fact i played with it allitle bit and wound up being able to change the destination of a current object. Like for example
instead of file->new-> briefcase i could make it actually point to a different file type like a .doc of  .zip but i could not have the icon actually change. It was still the icon of \"briefcase\" but would actually create whatever i pointed it too, that time it was .txt (being corel draw kicked all of my object\'s out and placed ALL corel icons)

it works like that. problem is i didnt note how i did it, i could spend time to do it again but still the problem would remain if the \"briefcase\" object got kicked out or i actually wanted a \"briefcase\". I can not add object\'s to it but i can trick it to create whatever i want. that is only 50% of it though.

I did find out however how ro remove object\'s. I removed all of them but after i did that i thought i figured it out. WRONG...i just reversed what i did exactly and they did not go back. So there must be another reg setting in Local_Machine or in Classes_Root that is keeping track of this. That i cannot find. If i could im pretty sure i could get it to work. But ive spent hours trying and no luck. Ive found some pretty neat stuff the book \"Windows 2000 registry\" that helps all sorts of stuff i didnt think i could do but that is left unmentioned.

Can\'t help you with the cut instead of copy but just been playing with ms tweakui which might help you with the new object.
In tweakui in the new tab you can drag/drop a file into the window and new \'new\' is created.
It only works if the file has an exe associated with it.
I\'m sure ms still have tweakui for download on their site but if you have any problems getting it I can post it here for you.
