Hi this is a a fairly good computer but do to the fact dumg lil kids use it isent running right i wana make it so theres only the essentails are running when u start it like virus protection and stuff when ever u start it up or turn it off u get these errors
first one  Application error

Exception GIFException in module aviWMP5Gv4.dll at 000252AF



second one WMP54Gv4.exe - Application Error

The instruction at "0x004412bd" refrenced memory at "0x00000168". The memory could not be "read"

click on ok to tremenate the program
click on cancel to debug the program

and games just randomly shut off while playing them  and wont stay connected to wireless router always haveing to restastart the router and modem i hope u can help us out thx

I suggest that you access your add/remove programs and remove Boonty Games

Extract the contents (a folder named SmitfraudFix) to your Desktop.

Please reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following :

• Restart your computer
• After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, tap the F8 key continually;
• Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu with options should appear;
• Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode, then press "Enter".
• Choose your usual account.

Once in Safe Mode, open the SmitfraudFix folder again and double-click smitfraudfix.cmd
Select option #2 - Clean by typing 2 and press "Enter" to delete infected files.

You will be prompted : "Registry cleaning - Do you want to clean the registry ?"; answer "Yes" by typing Y and press "Enter" in order to remove the Desktop background and clean registry keys associated with the infection.

The tool will now check if wininet.dll is infected. You may be prompted to replace the infected file (if found); answer "Yes" by typing Y and press "Enter".


The tool may need to restart your computer to finish the cleaning process; if it doesn't, please restart anyway into normal Windows.  A text file will appear onscreen, with results from the cleaning process; please copy/paste the content of that report into your next reply along with a new HijackThis log.
The report can also be found at the root of the system drive, usually at C:\rapport.txt

Dont worry about the wait i ended up inistaling the wireless card and reinstalling it wich fixed the errors but when ever u play any type of game online i just get connection problem pop ups from the game could it be because were useing a Net Gear router with a linkus wireless card ive updated the firmware on the router or could it just be comcast sucks lol heres my log

Have you tried just hardwiring to the router and see if you still get connection drops?

• Close any programs you may have running - especially any web browsers.

• Check any item with Java Runtime Environment (JRE or J2SE) in the name.
• Click the Remove or Change/Remove button.
  
• Repeat as many times as necessary to remove each Java versions.

Don't install the new version yet
Reboot your computer

Install the latest version of Java from the installer on desktop

So i installed the updated java and when hard wire the computer to the router the internet works perfect do u have any ideas on how i can fix the wireless it used to work just fine it kinda sucks haveing to run a card 15 ft across the room everytime we wana play a game or do i just need a better wireless card.

Are you using Linksys utility to connect to wireless network
If so, disconnect from the network
Open the Linksys utility and have it use Windows to configure your wireless connection
Then open Network connections in Control panel and double click on your wireless connection and connect with the Windows tool
See if that's any help
