As I explained earlier, we don't need the Admin account in safe mode
But I need you to have 3 user accounts>>All with Administrative privileges
When you have that ready, post back and we'll transfer your files and settings

Quote
First, let's call your original profile your using now as
A- Profile, the corrupt one

Now make a new Profile that you are going to use in the future
We'll call it B- Profile>>give it Administator rights

Now you have 2 profiles with Admin rights
We could have you log into safe mode with the hidden Administrator account or create Another Admin profile
We'll call it C- Profile

So now you have 3 profiles with Admin privileges

Good work, now that you have 3 profiles
Taken from this link
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/811151

Print the rest of these instructions and follow them carefully

We have the corrupt profile>>A
Your new profile>>B
A third profile we need temporarily>>C

Ensure that you are logged out of Profile A & B
Then log into profile C

In your C profile
Do the following
===================================
Go to START>>MyComputer>>TOOLS>> click Folder Options, click the View tab, click Show hidden files and folders,
UNCHECK Hide protected operating system files check box, and then click Apply>>OK
3.   Locate the C:\Documents and Settings\Old_Username folder,
Old_Username is the name of the profile you want to copy user data from. >>Profile A
4.   Press and hold down the CTRL key while you click each file and subfolder in this folder, except the following files:
DO NOT  SELECT THE 3 items if found below
•   Ntuser.dat
•   Ntuser.dat.log
•   Ntuser.ini

On the Edit menu, click Copy.
Locate the C:\Documents and Settings\New_Username folder,Where
New_Username is the name of the user profile that you will use in the future
User profile>>B

On the Edit menu, click Paste.
Let the folders\files transfer

Then log off the C profile and log into the B profile

Make sure everything is intact and we will go from that point

Nope, I made no mention of safe mode, so don't worry about it
But ensure that you log off other users, if unsure that you are logged off
Restart the computer and then log into ONLY the C profile
