anyone figured out how to clone xp.  It keeps giving me MTF errors.  Thanks!!

well i\'m more then happy to try and help if possable, but i need to know a few things. first off what are you using to \"clone\" windows xp? and a version number is nice as well.

Next up are you using sysprep off the windows XP to prepare the system first?

next up have you tried to defrag the MFT? windows xp can do this it self, but i find that disk keeper will do a better job of it.

I tried different times to do a boot  time defragmentation(directory consolidation,pagefile and mft defrag,of winxp pro with diskeeper 7.0410 , most of the time I got
errors afterwards and once I had to put back a previous image file .Now I  got the 70413 update , but I didn\'t try boot time defragmentation anymore .
Never got this problem with w2k pro .
