slipstreaming WinXP SP1
« on: September 13, 2002, 07:01:40 PM »
how is the way to slipstream the new winxp sp1 into this OS??
and...do you know if this update can activate the OS without knows it or send reports to microsoft??
i\'m talking to winXP pro corp.

thanks!!!!
sorry for my por english (i\'m spanish)  ;-)

and a second question:
i have done a boot cd with a lot of dos programs (based on super ERD cd) but i have added Partition magic 7. I have done the dos disk ang i merged it into an 2,88 image with winimage. When i boot with this option the first disk is ok, and then i hit a key and boot the main program (the second disk) but in the end of the load it says \"critical error: ignore,retry..etc\" I think this is because the program when boots writes something to disk but this is an image and that is the problem: it can\'¡t write anything.
How can i repair this??

To slipstream sp1 into windows xp then copy the windows xp cd to a directory c:root .Then run the command line

c:xpsp1.exe -s:c:root

Dont use the devils key to install though or u cant log in

this slipstream can only be done under win 2k/xp

When you slipstream SP1 into the corp\'s edition, no activation will be needed still.
There are 2 guides....One is for Nero, the other is for Easy CD Creator.
Here They Are.

Easy CD Creator:

Nero
http://www.etplanet.com/downloads/guide/nero.html

Those do work, I\'ve Tried Them

And now about your boot cd, I don\'t quite understand, so I\'ll leave that to someone else.

Peace!
