computer is slow!

i have a dell  laptop its a inspiron 600m and i know its slower then it should be ..  i tried cleaning it up as much as i can and its virus free and trojan free (i'm pretty sure). another thing is i've unistalled alot of stuff this year and when i go to add or remove programs its still there but i click unistall and i get messages saying the exe. is missing . so my question is there a way to make it disipear in the add remove program menu? o and another it takes a while to boot up my computer like 5-8 minuts

What's still there??

If you still need a hand, post a fresh hijackthis log
But update your version of Hijackthis

for example this use to be my dads old laptop and he had bible software on here (he's a minister) i unistalled it but when i go to
control panel then add or remove programs it still shows up but then i click unistall and it says it can't because of a log file.. btw i 'm sure i unistalled it i'm not dumb and just deleted the shortcut =p

Can you do the following
supply an uninstall list from Hijackthis
Open Hijackthis>>Open MISC TOOLS SECTION>>Open UNINSTALL MANAGER
Click the SAVE LIST... button
Save the list to your desktop then copy>>Paste back here the Whole contents

Also, give me the exact name of the bible software that was uninstalled
