Just wondering, my computer has had XP pro on it since i got it. It updates with no problems but i downloaded SP1 and it refuses to install because of an invalid key! any way around this cos the guys at the computer store arn\'t of much help!

Sounds like somebody is using a pirated version of XP. Um shame on you. If your key that you registered XP with, starts with FCKGW then you are [censored] out of luck until you can get a different key and change to that one. For figuring out how to change the key, you are gonna have figure that one out on your own.

further more as an add on to the note above,

if you did buy the cd from the computer store and you have the proper documentation. then call MS and talk to tem about it.

if there is not extra documentation for the CD then i would contact the store again and threaten to turn them into the anti-piracy commision.
