I have installed Linux and windows OS on my computer. One day, the Linux operating system is damaged, I found the partitions were missing. Can I recover the lost files and the missing partitions in windows?

Sounds like a bad install
Can you boot the computer?

Personally, if you have important files on the Windows side, boot up with a live distro of Linux
Such as Ubuntu or Knoppix
Save what you need and start fresh with XP

Fix mbr before reinstallation, I found once I had to low level my hard disks and start from scratch
May not be your option, but worked for me

hi ,body,i wanna to  recommand a very useful software,

The Data Recovery Wizard program worked for me when I lost some important files. It has a price tag but I consider that it is worthwhile from my experience. You can get the details info on the official web site http://www.easeus.com. I want to share it with you and also want to make sure that I don't stray from the forum rules. I'm looking for a simple, yet effective, and preferably free solution to recover my data. And lastly I find EASEUS Data Recovery Wizard. It's a very fast and easy way to recover my lost data. A quite good free software, I think. DataRecoveryWizard is a complete range of data recovery software for all Windows operating system platforms and supports various file systems including FAT, FAT16, VFAT, FAT32, NTFS, NTFS5,Ext2/3 on various storage media. Data Recovery Wizard ensures safe and precise file recovery against numerous threats like accidental file deletion and disk formatting and so on.http://www.easeus.com/

This sounds more like a sales gimmick
I'm locking this up and merging it with your other topic
