windows update won't install/won't go away

I have a lenovo t60p laptop. recently i've had the little windows update thing popping up in the bottom right corner.. always. it just won't install.. i logged in on safe mode, etc.. went to the windows site and tried it from there, nothing is working and it's driving me crazy, i also have notieced a substancial loss in speed lately, im not sure if the problems are related, i think that may have to do with the fact that for some reason when the computer starts up so do about 70 processes, which is ridiculous, i just dont know which ones are unnecessary and how to permanantly get rid of them, any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you, here's a HJT log

Has this always been like this? If not, go back to a system restore point that mightve not been doing this before.

It's a bit of work, but should stop that annoying Update alert after everything is reinstalled and updated again
