Why did elites have to get their word filter bypassing ability taken away? it obviously hasnt been abused if it wasnt a problem until pureblood complained just because the mods got theirs taken away...


urg its not a big problem i guess i just think its irritating that due to the mods actions the elites have to get it taken away...

Well, cussing should probably be added to the rules, seeing as it isn't listed anywhere on the site as something to not do...

I have always considered cussing fine as long as it isn't directed at another person, but I guess that was just me...

As for turning on your ad-blocker...you could just switch to the IP.Board Pro skin...there aren't any ads on it and I think it looks a little nicer than the TheTechGuide skin...

I had disabled the word filter for elites and mods so they could say things like hotmail.com, not so they could use foul language in topic titles that can show up on the rest of the site (every page on the site has a list of active discussions).

As for blocking ads, I've offered before to switch anyone's skin to one that doesn't have ads.  Googlebot is a different story, but it is possible to only show it to certain member groups.  Just takes a completely different modification than what I'm using now.

hmm... i was just mad at pureblood going and ruining it because he wasnt allowed to... I understand why you would... I blame Pureblood!

I would also just like to say that although I have used foul language (only when necessary [A.K.A. someones being a huge idiot and i need emphasis] for the most part) and seen other elites use it (not very often) I never saw profanity used in a topic title until yesterday. So I know and dont expect you to remove the filter, I just want you to know it wasn't (to my knowledge) being abused.
