Smaller XP Desktop Icons?
« on: October 23, 2002, 11:11:50 PM »
I\'ve seen a few screenshots of peoples\' desktops where their desktop icons in XP were half the size they normally are. I looked all over the settings and couldn\'t find something to adjust this. Is there something I\'m missing or is this done by editing the registry? Thanks a lot.

Also, the \"click\" sound is very annoying (the one played when clicking links and such). Is there a way to disable this sound only? I didn\'t seem to notice it in the list of changable sounds in the control panel. Thanks again.

1.Display properties , appearance, advanced ,
look for icon and chage the normal 32 to something smaller like 28 .
2.Control Panel ,Sounds and audio devices , sounds and you can choose which sounds you can set off , or even no sounds at all . The  windows explorer souds are probably the one annoying you ,start navigation and stop navigation .

For your icons, you can download wintidy 2.0, I use it for my desktop and it makes my icons small and tidy.

if at first you dont succeed, call it version 1.0
